Man sentenced after jumping balcony from reported robbery

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – An Evansville man has accepted a plea deal and was sentenced in connection to a reported robbery back in April.

Craig Barnett was sentenced to 182 days in jail after his hearing in Vanderburgh Circuit Court on Friday. He originally charged after he reportedly threatened a woman with a knife and tried to jump from an apartment balcony to evade law enforcement.

Barnett was initially charged with the following:

  • Armed Robbery
  • Domestic Battery
  • Intimidation (two counts)
  • Domestic Battery committed in the presence of a child less than 16-years-old
  • Interference with Reporting of a Crime
  • Resisting Law Enforcement
  • Criminal Mischief

Due to the plea agreement, Barnett was sentenced on the resisting law enforcement charge. The rest were dismissed…
