Evansville’s “Block-by-Block” event occurs in in Glenwood neighborhood

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry posted about a Block-by-Block event that occurred in the Glenwood neighborhood on June 20.

Mayor Terry says the event brought together a group of volunteers who worked in the summer heat to “help beautify and uplift” the community.

Mayor Terry posted, “A heartfelt thank you to the J.D. Sheth Foundation, Keep Evansville Beautiful and every neighbor and volunteer who rolled up their sleeves to make a difference. These are the moments that remind me how strong our city is when we come together. Let’s keep building a better Evansville, block by block.”

Officials with the city of Evansville say the Block-by-Block Neighborhood Cleanup program brings together city employees and community volunteers to pick up trash, mow lawns, trim trees and other aspects of neighborhood cleanup. The program is part of Mayor Terry’s emphasis on Neighborhood Revitalization, which also includes programs like Fight Blight, and programs funded by the Affordable Housing Trust Fund…
