EPD says drunk driver 5x over limit was stopped by Good Samaritan

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – Evansville Police say a man driving drunk was taken to the hospital and off the road thanks to a Good Samaritan.

According to an EPD report, a caller dialed 911 on Saturday to report a white pickup was “all over the road” while driving on Covert Avenue. The caller also stated the pickup almost crashed into several vehicles.

A second caller also dialed 911 to report similar information as the pickup was going south on Lodge Avenue. After turning onto Riverside Drive then Sunburst Blvd., EPD says a Good Samaritan was able to stop the driver then remove the keys from the ignition.
