Owensboro Police arrest many following CSAM investigation

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Owensboro man was arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession and distribution of material portraying sexual performances by a minor following an investigation from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Owensboro Police say Matthew Shinsky, 43, was taken into custody on Tuesday after officers executed a search warrant at his residence in the 4300 block of Yewells Landing West. Shinsky reportedly attempted to hide his cell phone in order to conceal physical evidence.

Shinsky was charged with two counts of distribution of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12, two counts of possession of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12, four counts of distribution of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor over 12 and under 18, and four counts of possession of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor over 12 and under 18.
