EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -A heat dome set-up over the eastern United States will persist through the work week. Triple-digit heat indices, likely between 100-107, will be possible every day through Friday. While we are expected to remain mostly dry through the week there are some isolated downpour/t-storm chances during the heating of the day. Slightly better chances for scattered showers and storms arrive this weekend.
For our Tuesday anticipate mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of an isolated shower or storm during the afternoon, but most will remain dry. Highs today will top out in the mid-90s. Skies will remain mostly clear tonight with lows dropping into the mid-70s. Each day this week will, essentially, be a repeat of the day before.
