Couple sentenced to federal prison after Evansville mail theft scheme

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Michael Jerome Wright and Cortney Lashea Young, both from Princeton, Indiana, have been sentenced to federal prison for their involvement in a mail theft scheme, according to court documents.

Wright, 45, received a 12-year sentence for multiple charges, including mail theft and possession of a machinegun. Young, 36, was sentenced to two years for mail theft and firearm possession.
