July 4th celebrations throughout the Tri-State

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Some towns in the Tri-State have made Independence Day plans.

Indiana

Posey County

Mount Vernon

Officials say this celebration will take place on July 6 on the riverfront. Music will be provided by Annabelle Whitledge from 7 to 9 p.m. on the stage, with the fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m., or dusk.

The following food vendors will serve food from 5 to 9 p.m. or after:

  • Westbrook Acres
  • JB’s Barnyard
  • Little Jimmy’s
  • Little Boondocks
  • Seasons Creations
  • Bodes Snow Cones
  • JT’s American Food on the Fly

Officials say M&M Vending will also be on-site selling “lighted toys” that the kids can enjoy.

Spencer County

Chrisney

There will be a 4th of July event at the Chrisney Golf Course. The event is called the “4th of July Picnic.” The event will begins at dusk and is located at 503 East High Street. This will be on July 4.

Rockport

“Freedom on the Rock” begins at dusk at the Rockport City Park. The park is located at 930 Fairground Drive. This will be on July 6.

Dubois County

Huntingburg

On July 3, the “League Stadium Fireworks” will begin after the Bombers game.

Birdseye

On July 6, the event will be Thunder Over Patoka at the Patoka Lake Beach. The event will be at 9 p.m.

Perry County

Cannelton

There will be a “4th of July Shindig” at 9 p.m. on July 6.

Tell City

Tell City will have its “Celebration of Fireworks” on July 4 at dusk at the Veterans Sunset Park. Officials ask that residents please be respectful to private properties when parking their vehicles.

Vanderburgh County

Evansville

The “Fireworks on the Ohio” event will take place at 9:15 p.m. on Riverside Drive in Evansville. This will be on July 4.

Warrick County

Newburgh

“Fireworks Over The Burgh” will take place on July 5 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in Newburgh. Fireworks will be on display at sunset.

Officials ask people to plan to arrive early and check out the Newburgh Music Festival, which opens at 2 p.m. There will be a selection of food trucks lining French Island Trail and the downtown stores and restaurants will be open.

Illinois

Wayne County

Fairfield

City officials say the event will be on July 3, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and there will be fireworks at dark. The estimated time for the fireworks will be 9 p.m.

Wabash County

Mount Carmel

According to the city’s “2025 Schedule of Events,” on July 4 there will be a parade and a fireworks show…
