We’re currently experiencing a very humid air mass, with temperatures in the upper 70s and dew points in the mid-70s. Storms that cross the area the rest of day into tonight evening could be fairly potent with strong and gusty winds.. Heavy rainfall is also a concern, with potential for localized flooding. Looking ahead, this pattern of afternoon showers and storms is likely to persist into next week. By mid-week, High pressure at the surface and aloft may decrease storm coverage somewhat, but some chances remain.
