Evansville man accused of abandoning dogs in parked truck on hot day

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – A pet owner in Evansville is spending time in jail after police say he left dogs in a parked truck when it was 99 degrees outside.

Around 3:45 p.m. Monday, officers were called to the intersection of Jefferson and Kentucky Avenue to investigate.

Officers say they found a husky inside a truck that was not running, as well as another dog in a cage in the bed of the truck…
