EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville Fire Department had to exhaust its resources after two house fires broke out at the same time. Firefighters also found themselves dealing with the sweltering heat wave.
“With all the gear and the equipment that our men and women carry,” Battalion Chief Chris McCutchan said. “It’s kind of like you’re in a big inhalation suit. So with the physical exertion, it can be rather taxing.”
