Sober bar coming to downtown Evansville

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Evansville bar is offering an option for people who want to go to a bar but don’t want to get drunk.

Business officials say whether someone is sober, sober-curious or just wanting to avoid a hangover, the Altar Bar at Arcademie is available to serve nonalcoholic drinks.

According to Arcademie, the Altar Bar upstairs is offering spirit-free cocktails, non-alcoholic beer and zero-proof socializing every Friday and Saturday night. Officials say this is the first bar of its kind in Evansville, but the downstairs area remains unchanged.
