WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – Boonville Fire Department rushed to Lori Lamar’s home on Tuesday after her store went up in flames. Lamar has owned and operated Fireworks Galore out of her backyard since 2002.
Although she was not home at the time, her daughter GG was and jumped into action calling 911. GG says first responders were on scene in under 10 minutes, which she says prevented the fire from being much worse.
The family says that neighbors and even strangers showed up to help them while first responders fought the flames. According to GG, some community members even brought water hoses over to combat debris from catching their house on fire…
