A Colorful Surprise Awaits on the Lloyd Expressway
The University of Evansville campus will soon be buzzing with activity and excitement as students and staff prepare for the Fall 2025 semester. The university hopes to have a special surprise ready to unveil before everyone arrives.
UE’s Iconic Colors Take Center Stage
The University of Evansville, along with local contractor Turpen Painting, is working on a brand-new mural that will be prominently displayed on the Lloyd Expressway overpass at Weinbach Avenue. The design is simple, but bold, featuring UE’s iconic purple, orange, and white logo.
A Gateway That Can’t Be Missed
Once completed, the mural will be visible on both the east- and west-facing walls beneath the expressway, where it will be seen by thousands of drivers each day. There will be no mistake that “here’s where you need to exit to visit the University of Evansville!”
Noah Alatza, UE’s Chief Communications Officer, says,
The mural will provide a vibrant new gateway to campus and help highlight the University’s strong connection to the city of Evansville. It’s a bold and visible way to show our pride and create a sense of arrival.
Longtime Aces fans and everyone else driving down the Lloyd won’t be able to miss this colorful new landmark. For once, it will be some orange that we don’t mind seeing on the Lloyd…
