The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has confirmed that a small earthquake struck the Tri-State region late Friday night.
According to USGS data, the magnitude 2.6 quake occurred at 10:06 p.m. on Friday, with an epicenter near Cynthiana, Indiana. The earthquake originated 18.8 kilometers (about 11.6 miles) underground.
