Why the Coffee Was Recalled

Dollar General Corporation has issued a voluntary recall of three lots of its eight-ounce Clover Valley Instant Coffee due to the potential presence of glass fragments, according to a report from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Where and When the Coffee Was Sold

The recalled coffee was sold between July 9 and July 21, 2025, exclusively at Dollar General retail locations in 48 states, including Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois.

The recall was initiated after a customer alerted store employees to the potential contamination. Ingesting glass poses serious health risks, including dental damage, lacerations to the mouth and throat, and potential intestinal injury. So far, there have been no reports of related illnesses or injuries.
