Evansville man arrested after allegedly detonating ‘incendiary device’ at crowded bus stop

EVANSVILLE, Ind. — An Evansville man was arrested Friday evening after police say he detonated an “incendiary device” in a crowded bus terminal.

According to a public police report from the Evansville Police Department, around 6 p.m. on Aug. 22, officers patrolling the area near 100 Northwest Sixth Street in downtown Evansville when they reportedly heard a person yell toward another person at a “populated bus terminal.”

Police say they then saw an individual, identified as a 40-year-old Evansville man, allegedly detonate an “incendiary device” on the ground near the person to which he shouted…
