EPD says woman violated her bond after firing gun, having 11 more

HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – An Evansville woman out on bond is in jail again after allegedly firing a gun and having 11 more in collection.

According to an affidavit, while on a call in the 4600 block of Inspiration Street for a stolen vehicle report at about 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a woman blurted out to EPD officers, “if you get a call about shots fired, that was me.”

The woman was identified as Shannon Murray-Gentry, and she claimed a close friend of hers requested to use her vehicle and took it anyway while telling him no.

After coming back, an altercation allegedly took place. During the scuffle, Murray-Gentry claimed she fired a .380 revolver into the ground because the friend “came at her aggressively.”…
