EVANSVILLE — Vanderburgh County residents have the chance to get rid of household hazardous waste this weekend thanks to the Solid Waste District.
Tox-Away Day, and tire recycling, is set from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Civic Center parking lot in Downtown Evansville.
Materials accepted include items like used motor oil, gasoline, antifreeze, pesticides, herbicides, household cleaners and chemicals, aerosol cans, solvents and thinners, oil-based paint, pharmaceuticals and mercury-containing items like thermometers and fluorescent bulbs…
