WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) — Officials are urging those who have been exposed to ash from Saturday’s chemical fire in Warrick County to seek medical attention.
In a news conference, officials said fish in the Vann Park pond are expected to die following the fire. Officials went on to say that the ash and debris could cause chemical burns. The fire broke out atthe PBTT manufacturing facility.

Officials with the Warrick County Health Department say they do not yet know what is in the ash, but say it is testing at a high PH level. They advise members of the public who have come into contact with the ash to contact the ER.
A release from the Ohio Township Fire Department says combustible metals were the main hazardous material involved in the fire; examples would be magnesium, aluminum, or zinc.
