Road floods after car crashes into fire hydrant

EVANSVILLE, Ind (WEHT) – A big mess overnight on Evansville’s south side due to flooding, but it had nothing to do with the rain.

The flooding was thanks to a fire hydrant. At around 1:30 a.m., a car crashed into the hydrant at the intersection of Covert and Norman.

Water began shooting up from the ground like a geyser, quickly causing Covert Avenue to flood…
