Alleged drunk driver crashes through Liquor Locker wall; tells police sobriety tests “will not be good”

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Evansville Police say a drunk driver was almost four times the legal limit when he crashed through the wall of a liquor store.

According to an affidavit, 58-year-old David Allega was sitting outside the Liquor Locker on North Weinbach Avenue with his truck’s front bumper and hood crashed through the wall.

This was Friday morning at 12:33 a.m.

Police say Allega told them he accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake while trying to park.

Officers asked Allega to do a Field Sobriety Test and they say he told them “it will not be good.”…
