High water disrupting traffic in Tri-State Tuesday morning

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Morning traffic has already been dealing with obstacles Tuesday as constant rain had led to high water along some Tri-State roads.

One of the many areas dealing with flooding is the Virginia Street viaduct. Located west of U.S. 41, the area is known locally to flood following large amounts of rain. 44News crew on scene Tuesday morning reported two cars being stuck in the viaduct and needed to be rescued. Evansville Police and Evansville Fire remain on scene and the road is closed until the flooding has disappeared.

Another area dealing with high water is the northbound lanes of U.S. 41 in front of Audubon State Park in Henderson. Traffic has slowly driven through the area as water pools in both lanes…
