Owensboro drug investigation leads to CSAM found on cell phone

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — A drug investigation by the Owensboro Police Department led to the discovery of child sexual abuse material on a cellphone.

According to police, detectives with the OPD Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 1200 block of Wayside Drive West on October 7. Police say detectives located over twenty pounds of marijuana and two firearms in the residence.

The residence belonged to Chadwick Evans, 46, and he was arrested. Police say a cell phone belonging to Evans was seized by detectives and a search warrant was obtained for the phone, leading to alleged discovery of child sexual abuse material…
