Warrick County School Calendar Changes Coming Soon
The other day, my daughter, who is a Warrick County School Corporation student, came home and told me that next year the school calendar will be changing in a big way.
I didn’t get any notifications about these changes, though it’s entirely possible that they sent out an email and I missed it. I do have about 20,000 unread emails in my inbox right now. What? I’m busy, okay! So, I figured there might be some parents out there who weren’t aware of next year’s changes either.

Fall Break Will Be a Full Week
According to the calendar posted by the Warrick School Corporation, Fall Break will be extended to an entire week in the 2026–2027 school year. This was approved in May of this year though I didn’t see anything about it in the school board meeting minutes.
Currently, Fall Break is October 10–13 (Friday through Monday), but next year it will run from October 12–16, which is Monday through Friday.
How Will They Make Up the Days?
This year, the school year will end on May 20, but next year it has been extended to May 25…
