EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Indiana State claimed nine of the 16 events at the Deaconess Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon as the Sycamores topped both Evansville (200-99) and Southern Indiana (221-79) to claim the meet win.
The Sycamores were paced by Erin Cummins (200 & 500 Free) and Claire Parsons (1000 Free & 200 Back) both winning multiple swimming events, while Jecza Lopez (1M & 3M Diving) continued her dominance on the springboards winning both events. Haley Halsall (200 Fly) and Ali Pearson (100 Breast) also recorded individual wins, while Indiana State claimed the opening 200-yard Medley Relay title.
“We have a few real great spots today, including the first relay,” head coach Josh Christensen said. “We definitely have some places where we need to continue to improve. We’re looking forward to getting back to work and getting better from here.”…
