School surprises Princeton students with Disney trip selection

PRINCETON, Ind. (WEHT) – Eight hard-working 8th graders from Princeton Community Middle School, 4 boys and 4 girls, will soon embark on the trip of a lifetime. “Usually I go with family,” says Conner Dewig, “but this time I’m actually going with school members and friends.”

Dewig says he has been to Disney before, but this time, he will have one of his best friends by his side in classmate Landon Poling. “First I was like, I was happy and nervous at the same time,” recalls Dewig, “but once I got up there I was really getting nervous because I wanted a good friend to go, basically. And once I heard him, I was super happy.”

“Walking up there,” adds Poling, “I don’t know, it just felt like a dream.”

Cops Connecting with Kids announces Disney trip winners

The annual trip to Disney by the non-profit Cops Connecting with Kids pits Tri-State kids and local law enforcement together to bond and build relationships. Students were aware of the trip, but not who would be going. Those students, including Jazmynne Perry, were revealed through clues and facts read aloud to the student body…
