Evansville Police say three dogs previously seized in neglect case found in worse condition

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Evansville Police say that three dogs who were previously removed from a home due to neglect have been found in worse conditions than they were found in before.

According to an affidavit, police were informed on October 7 that three dogs that were seized due to neglect were residing at a home in the 2100 block of North Weinbach, but the people who were supposed to take care of the dogs were reportedly only coming by every two to three days. Police say they began surveillance on the driveway of the home and saw a vehicle matching the description of the two people known to be taking care of the dogs coming to the home two days apart.

On October 30, police say they attempted to contact someone at the home following an anonymous complaint saying no one was taking care of the dogs at the home for an extended period of time and the house had no power. While approaching the home, authorities say a dog was seen sticking its nose through a small opening in the window and attempting to get out of the window. Authorities at the scene reported a smell of urine and feces coming from the home, and reported the dogs were visibly shaking and had feces covering their paws…
