Newburgh man arrested after shooting and killing neighbor’s dog, deputies say

WARRICK COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — A Newburgh man is facing felony charges of killing a domestic animal and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon after opening fire on a dog in a busy neighborhood, according to authorities.

Deputies with the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office were called to investigate a report of a dog being shot in a neighborhood on West Fall Creek Drive around 5:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
