On alert Monday morning: Hard freeze, scattered snow showers

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The rest of the afternoon will feature some sprinkles and even a few flurries. Highs will only reach lower 40s through the afternoon but with gusts up to 25 -30 mph, wind chill values will remain in the 30s through the day.

It’ll get even colder tonight! Temperatures will drop into the mid-20s with wind chill values down into the teens Monday morning. Another round of flurries and snow showers will swing through Monday morning! Little accumulation is expected, but some folks especially east of the Wabash river may get a dusting on grassy or elevated surface like cars and roofs. Roads should just stay wet, but some slick spots will still be possible. Give yourself extra time and use a bit more caution headed out the door! Highs on Monday will only top out in the upper 30s to lower 40s with wind chill values only in the 20s and 30s as gusts up to 25 mph will remain possible.
