VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WEHT) – After sitting quiet, dormant and closed for over two years, the famed Hornville Tavern appears to be on the cusp of reopening.
A social media post from an updated Hornville Tavern page announced the establishment is accepting applications for waiters and waitresses, cooks and bartenders. A website for Hornville Tavern advertises a menu coming soon with old favorites and new creations.
In October of 2023, the owner at the time announced the tavern was closing for the foreseeable future.Documents show the tavern was sold to Euphoria Acres, LLC in April of 2024. The tavern was also featured during a scene in the hit movie, ‘A League of Their Own’.
