HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – 86 Tri-State veterans recently took off on Honor Flight of Southern Indiana’s 19th trip to Washington D.C.. For some, it was there first time seeing the monuments.
The morning began with an early wake-up call. Veterans and guardians started arriving at the Evansville Regional Airport at 4 a.m., full of smiles and excitement. After their sendoff in Evansville, they received a warm welcome in the nation’s capitol.
