They’ve been a part of birthday celebrations all around the tri-state area for over seven decades, and now it’s time for us to return the favor. A staple here in our community, Lic’s Deli & Ice Cream is commemorating 75 years of putting smiles on faces with a big ole party, and YOU are invited!
Like lots of you, Lic’s was the first “old-fashioned” ice cream shop I ever visited. My grandma ordered her favorite, caramel praline. It’s one of my favorite memories of her. I got a little single scoop with a gummy worm on top, and it felt so special. I got to recreate that moment with my son when he was little. Not many places can say they have served you, your grandma, your great grandma, and maybe even her grandma!

Lic’s 75th Anniversary Celebration in Owensboro
Tomorrow, Friday, November 14th, Owensboro’s Lic’s Deli & Ice Cream on Parrish Ave. is hosting a free party with Door Prizes & Giveaways. You can enter to win exclusive LIC’s merch, turtle pies, treats, and more. Come hungry because they will have great deals on menu items like scoops and sandwiches. I’ll be broadcasting live from noon til 2 p.m. I already know I am gonna have to get my favorite grilled cheese and chili combo.
