Animal cruelty hearing postponed, attorney says because of ‘credible death threats’

BOONVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – More than 40 people were in a Warrick County courtroom to stand up for animals today, including Vanderburgh Humane Society (VHS) staff and volunteers.

29-year-old Shayna Burko was set to appear after being charged with three felonies for cruelty to animals in January of this year.

VHS says they showed up for the proceedings because they have a long history with the defendant…
