HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Gibson County Sheriff Bruce Vanoven has released a video addressing complaints made on social media regarding conditions in the jail.
Sheriff Vanoven said he wanted to address a screenshot he saw that alleged that the jail’s temperature was being kept too cold. However, he said after speaking with the jail commander, it was found that there was only one written grievance.
“We’re not going to treat these people with anything less than dignity,” Sheriff Vanoven said. “The Indiana Department of Corrections says everybody should be treated firm, fair and consistent, and I agree with that because jail is temporary.”…
