Alleged gang activity in Evansville results in two arrests

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – Alleged gang activity in Evansville leads to the arrest of two people.

Clifton Dillon and Kayla Powell were arrested Monday and face several charges.

Verdict reached in attempted murder case on Adams Avenue

According to a police affidavit, this investigation began last Thursday when officers were called to the 2200 block of West Franklin Street. According to police, a man said had been attacked during a robbery. While in the hospital, a police officer says the victim told him Vice Lord gang members jumped the victim while in Powell’s apartment, and that she had set the victim up to be attacked. Police say the victim also told them Dillon put a “green light” on the victim because the victim was a registered sex offender.

Powell and Dillon were later questioned and arrested. Both face criminal gang activity and other charges.
