ATLANTA (WEVV) — Troopers from the Georgia State Patrol recently visited Evansville Police Officer Sam Taylor at Shepherd Center in Atlanta to offer support during his rehabilitation.
In September, Officer Taylor was injured in an on-duty shooting, sustaining a gunshot wound to the back that resulted in paralysis from the chest down. He initially received care in Indiana before transferring to Shepherd Center, where he is expected to remain through the holidays and into January.
