EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Lynnville Fire and Police Departments have come together with the community to hold a benefit for officer Sam Taylor.
The town of Lynnville has been working on this event for a while now. Taylor’s uncle Adam Hopkins says that the Lynnville fire department reached out the day after the incident wanted to help.
“Michael, the fire chief here in town, he called me right after the incident happened, and he made it clear from the start that he didn’t want to burden the family with any of this,” Hopkins said. “And he was going to handle all of it.And, I guess what? About six weeks since we put all this together, came together, and it’s been amazing.”…
