Newburgh Christmas tree to be removed after town council vote

NEWBURGH, Ind. (WEHT) — The Christmas tree in Newburgh will go dark and be taken down after the town council voted to remove it.

During Monday’s town council meeting, officials opened the floor to the public. That’s when Byron Sherman requested that the flag that hung at Bell Road and State Road 261 be restored and the Christmas tree display taken down.
