EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — Many in the Tri-State were up bright and early this morning as they flooded the streets of Downtown Evansville for this year’s Turkey Trot.
The yearly outing was back in the river city for year number 36 as runners and some walkers braved the cold. Nearly 3,000 people participated in the 5k, put on by Fifth Third and Goodwill. All proceeds raised will help fund Goodwill’s new excel center and the 14 locations they oversee locally.
For many runners, the trot is a yearly event but for others it was a new experience. Organizers say they are proud to see this crucial event continue to grow each year…
