Henderson shelter announces reduced adoption fees

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Humane Society of Henderson County (HSHC) has announced its participation in the BISSELL Pet Foundation’s nationwide “Empty the Shelters” initiative, taking place from December 1 to 15.

During this event, HSHC says it will offer significantly reduced adoption fees to help more animals find permanent, loving homes.

Adoption fees during the event are as follows:

  • $25 – Adult dogs and adult cats
  • $50 – Puppies and kittens
  • $0 – Dogs or cats who have resided at the shelter for six months or longer

Adoption hours are:

  • Tuesday through Friday, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Officials with the Humane Society of Henderson County welcome the public to visit the shelter, meet available pets and learn more about the adoption process.
