Vanderburgh officials exploring ways to make busy county road safer

EVANSVILLE — A major overhaul to North St. Joseph Avenue would cost millions that Vanderburgh County doesn’t have to spend, but officials still have plans aimed to curb some of the issues associated with the roadway.

During a special meeting of the Vanderburgh County Commission in November, county engineer John Stoll said reconstruction of St. Joe Avenue would cost more than $11 million in construction alone.
