EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — The Evansville Fire Department is currently on scene of a church fire.
According to dispatch, fire crews were called to the 900 block of Meyer Avenue around 5:44 a.m. about a residential structure fire. Officials say due to the large response, parts of North First Avenue and Third Avenue are closed.
The fire is out, but crews are still pouring water on the building.
