Colonels Fall to McCluer North, 47-40

The Henderson County Colonels (1-1) came up just short Saturday afternoon, dropping a 47-40 battle to undefeated McCluer North (MO) (5-0) at Paducah Tilghman High School.

Henderson trailed 13-10 after the first quarter but battled back to tie the game at 21 by halftime. The Colonels stayed within striking distance throughout, entering the fourth down just 31-28, but McCluer North made enough plays late to stay unbeaten.

Junior guard Jarren Byrum paced the Colonels with 11 points, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc. Xavion Johnson added seven, while Braden Williams and Jahmarion Isabel scored five each.
