EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Downtown Evansville hosted its premier family holiday celebration, A Downtown Christmas Presented by Engelbrecht Enterprises, on Saturday, December 6.
The Downtown Evansville Improvement District (DEID) held this annual event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring various festive activities on Main Street and 5th Street. These streets were closed to vehicular traffic for the event.
Guests enjoyed free photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, reindeer visits, pony rides, and more. The event also included a petting zoo, hot cocoa, and cookies.
Santa’s Workshop, presented by F.C. Tucker Emge, offered face painting, crafts, and the opportunity to write letters to Santa. A mascot meet-and-greet took place from noon to 1 p.m.
New activities for 2025 included hair tinsel and a snow machine. The Indiana Donor Network hosted a raffle recognizing donor heroes…
