EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Sunny skies helped temperatures rise to near 60 across the Tri-State on Wednesday. A cold front will race toward the region Wednesday night and bring rain and thunder into the area for Thursday. Winds of 30-40 mph will continue through the day on Thursday, with rain and some thunder arriving in the afternoon. The severe risk has dropped a bit, but a few strong storms with hail are possible. Rain exits by Thursday night and colder air will take lows into the mid 20s on Friday morning. Partly cloudy and colder Friday with highs in the middle 30s. Milder air filters in over the weekend as highs rise into the 40s, then the mid 50s for the first part of next week…
