EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — The Evansville Fire Department dedicated its newest frontline fire engine, Engine 2, on Thursday.
This 2025 E-One Cyclone is stationed at Station 2 and honors retired District Chief Bruce Woodward, who served the community for 33 years before retiring in 2016.
Engine 2 features a high-powered water pump capable of moving up to 1500 gallons per minute and a 780-gallon water tank, providing firefighters with an immediate supply when arriving on scene.
The engine is powered by a 500-horsepower engine with a heavy-duty transmission to improve acceleration and response times.
The fire department said these enhancements aim to help firefighters work faster, safer, and more effectively…
