EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Despite cloudy skies, temperatures soared to tie a record of 68 on Tuesday. The mild air will linger over the Tri-State through Christmas and into Saturday. Daily highs will climb into the mid to upper 60s each day, nearly 25 degrees above the normal for this time of the year. A few scattered showers will be possible each day. The record high for Christmas is 72 set in 2021. We are forecasting a high of 68 for Christmas Day. The mild weather will give way to sharply colder conditions by Sunday night and Monday.
