EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Warm and mostly cloudy to round off the week! A cold front will bring widespread showers/storms to the area Sunday night before a big cool down for next week.
For our Friday expect mostly cloudy skies, with patchy areas of fog this morning. Some patchy drizzle will also be possible mainly northeast of Evansville. A frontal boundary will cross over the Tri-State this afternoon/evening. The front may actually help break up some of the clouds, so some glimmers of sunshine will be possible before the sunsets for the day. Expect partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies overnight with lows dropping into the mid to upper 40s.
The weekend will remain warm and unsettled. expect mostly cloudy skies Saturday with highs topping out int he mid to upper 60s. Sunday will be another warm day ahead of a strong cold front Sunday night. Expect mostly cloudy skies with some spotty showers possible ahead of the front Sunday afternoon. The front will pass over the Tri-State Sunday night. The timing is still uncertain but we are expecting a line of showers and storms with and isolated risk for some strong to damaging wind gusts.
