HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has confirmed that the closure of the Owensboro Blue Bridge has been extended until the end of January.
The closure of the Glover Cary Bridge in Owensboro was originally planned as a 90-day closure between July and October of last year. However, the contractor did not begin construction until July 14. In late September, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet was notified that the deadline would be missed, and a revised schedule indicated a January 16 reopening date. However, that deadline has now been moved forward two weeks.
