EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Southerly winds and some sunshine pushed temps into the 60s on Thursday ahead of a cold front. We are on alert for a few severe storms through early Friday as the cold front sweeps through. The main threat will be for damaging winds in any severe storms that develop, but an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Rain should end early on Friday as highs return to the 50s during the afternoon. Mostly cloudy Friday night with more rain possible on Saturday and a high of 50. Dry and cooler Sunday through early next week. Daily highs will climb into the mid 30s on Sunday, mid 40s Monday and low 50s on Tuesday with partly sunny skies each day. Rain chances return on Wednesday.
